Conspector was appointed to undertake fire door maintenance and remedial works to existing hotel doors as part of an ongoing refurbishment and compliance improvement programme. The works included adjustment of existing door leaves and frames, localised repairs, planing and sanding where required, and careful reinstatement of existing electronic locksets and door signage.
The scope also included the installation and upgrade of key fire door components, including Class 13 / Grade 4 ball-bearing fire door hinges with intumescent pads, Rutland fire door closers, Pyroplex fire and smoke intumescent strips, Stormguard fire and smoke threshold seals and stainless steel kick plates. Works were carried out in a live hotel environment, with attention to maintaining suitable door operation, neat presentation and minimal disruption to hotel users.
