Conspector was appointed to refurbish multiple existing hotel wet-room bathrooms following deterioration to the existing floor and shower areas. The works involved the careful strip-out of sanitaryware, grab rails, existing vinyl flooring, former shower trays, rotten ply boarding and saturated insulation/fill.
The bathrooms were then rebuilt and upgraded, including replacement of rotten floor boarding with marine ply, alterations to shower and wash hand basin services, additional lighting, fire-rated works to ceilings and corridor walls, and installation of moisture-resistant ceiling framing. New wet-wall panels were installed to all four walls, with darker feature panels to the shower areas, followed by new low-level anti-slip shower trays, shower screens, vinyl flooring and silicone sealing throughout.
Existing sanitaryware, handrails, grab rails, fixtures and fittings were reinstated, with new shelving and access hatches installed to support future maintenance. The works were planned and coordinated within a live hotel environment, with attention given to layout, accessibility, durability and ease of ongoing maintenance.
